SVS-Sunlight Viewable System Solutions

PinPoint's real world solution for intensive sunlight bridge scenarios is the new SVS, with the guaranteed sunlight viewable screen.   The SVS is perfect for any open cockpit, flybrigde or other bright navigation station.   Available in 10.4, 12.1 and 15 inch screen sizes.  PinPoint has an SVS for almost any bridge configuration.  With a depth of only 4 3/8 inches, the SVS provides the perfect solution for a crowded bridge or small center console.  All SVS units are water resistant and can be either bracket or flush mounted.

DVS-Daylight Viewable System Solutions

Designed for less demanding lighting conditions, the DVS family of products has screens that are three times as bright as a normal laptop screen.  The DVS units are perfect for any enclosed bridge, such as the bridge of a trawler or commercial vessel.  Available in 10.4, 12.1 and 15 inch screen sizes, PinPoint has a DVS for almost any bridge configuration.  With a depth of only 4 3/8 inches, the SVS provides the perfect solution for a crowded bridge or small center console.  All DVS units are water resistant and can be either bracket or flush mounted.

On-Board, Self-Contained Computer

The SVS and DVS self-contained electronic charting systems incoporate a fully maranized Intel Pentium computer and a military specification 1.4 GB (minimum) internal hard drive.  The sunlight and daylight viewable screens are precise full color TFT (thin film transistor) displays.  Every SVS/DVS is preloaded with PinPoint's navigational software and is housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure.  With optional DGPS, the SVS/DVS products are the best and brightest choices for maranized, turnkey electronic charting systems.  Running on Windows 95 operating system, the SVS/DVS units are fully expandable, and can be used as the ship's computer system.  In addition to the preloaded navigation software, PinPoint offers enhanced radar and radar overlay interface systems, 3D bathymetrics, and PC engine monitoring, allowing the operator to create a customized integrated bridge system.

Open Architecture

PinPoint's SVS/DVS systems have an "open architecture" design, which means that all types of computer peripherals can be interfaced.  Unlike other chart plotters, the SVS and DVS units can be used with a regular mouse and keyboard and additional monitors.

Interface Flexibility

The DVS family of products have four communication ports, three when utilizing internal GPS, DGPS, depth and heading can all be interfaced resulting in an easy to interpret graphic presentation. An autopilot can be interfaced as well, allowing it to easily follow a predetermined route.

SVS/DVS Remote Monitors

Remote Monitors/Repeaters can be used in conjunction with a SVS or DVS system or a previously installed shipboard PC system and can be mounted as far as 100 feet away from your system.  Each remote monitor/repeater has the same screen size and resolution as the system screens and includes an on/off switch, dimming control, and three button integral pointing device for remote usage.  The units are powered by a 10-36 VDC power supply and accept standard 15 pin VGA video.
